A taste of it
The hot middle-eastern version of the dish. The name "Mnazzaleh" can also be heard.
Chop the onion and fry it with olive oil in a deep pan until golden. Add the diced eggplants.
Meanwhile, on another pan, fry some minced fresh coriander with smashed garlic in some butter. Add to the pan minced meet with allspice, black pepper and some salt.
Back to the first pan, juice the orange and add it to the mix. Mix up two pans together and leave to stew.
Server hot, usually with rice and yogurt.
